Hassan Abdulrahman – Al Dhafra – Abu Dhabi

The fourth edition of Al Dhafra Camel Racing Festival kicked off yesterday ,Thursday at Madinat Zayed Racecourse with a large and diverse participation. The opening day witnessed 24 rounds for Al Haqaeq category, for a distance of 3 km. “Jazla,” owned by Naif Hamad Saif bin Naif Al Ameri, won the first round in a time of 4:23:28 minutes, while “Al Daraa,” owned by Mubarak Mohammed bin Ali Al Jadili, won the second round with a time of 4:21:02 minutes.

In the third round, “Ikhtib”, owned by Badr Obaid bin Saad Al Junaibi, won in 4:25:20 minutes. “Hadhoor”, owned by Abdullah Sultan bin Salem Al Muthaymani, won in 4:22:76 minutes.

“Maheeb”, owned by Ahmed Mohammed bin Saeed Al Afari, won the fifth round with a time of 4:21:30 minutes. “Hateen”, owned by Hamad Shatit bin Salem Al Wahaibi, won the sixth round in 4:20:37 minutes. “Mardhiya”, owned by Saad Mohammed bin Hamad Al Marri, won the seventh round with a time of 4:20:09 minutes. “Shaheen”, owned by Awad Ali bin Abdullah Al Balushi, won with a time of 4:19:35 minutes. The ninth round went to “Al Shaiba”, owned by Mohammed Hamad bin Kardous Al Ameri, with a time of 4:26:72 minutes. In the tenth round, “Irtiyad”, owned by Yaqoub Saeed bin Mohammed Al Fazari, won with a time of 4:25:53 minutes. The results of the rounds from 11 to 24 were as follows: “Fawaz” won for Naif Salah bin Musleh Al Sahli, “Al Yafel” for Ibrahim Salem bin Saif Al Darai, “Mayassa” for Ahmed Khamis bin Abdullah Al Marar, “Waddah” for Nasser Abdullah bin Ghassab Al Hajri, “Wissam” for Mohammed Sultan bin Ali Al Hashemi, “Dajr” for Suwaidan Abdullah Obaid bin Suwaidan Al Ameri, “Taraf” for Hamad Saeed Mohammed Balkila Al Ameri, “Wafa” for Abdullah Ali bin Rashid Al Jaber Al Marri, “Al Wasmi” for Saeed Amer bin Salem Al Mughairy (best time), “Dam’a” for Misfer Nassar Khanafer Al Junaibi, “Al Shamikh” for Ahmed Khamis bin Abdullah Al Marar, “Al Temas” for Ali Saeed bin Batti Al Darai, and “Zahi” for Mohammed Salem bin Ali Al Darai.
