For the third consecutive day Aldhafra Camel racing Festival witnessed strong performances from a wide variety of participating camels at Madinet Zayed racecourse. 

Nayef Salah Musleh Al Sahli’s camels dominated the cup and rifle symbols in the Abkar and Qe’dan open races. “Mahra” won the Abkar Cup for the camels in a time of 5:45:37 mins., and  “Mahdi” snatched the Qe’dan rifle title in  5:49:81 mins. 

As for the local races, “Manhaf,” owned by renowned trainer Mohammed Atiq Zaytoun Al Muhairi, won the local camel category cup in 5:49:05 minutes, while “Al Hoot,” owned by Omair Al Hazmi Qannas Al Ameri, won the local Qe’dan race in 5:50:61 minutes. The next four rounds were for the production category, where “Sougha,” owned by Ali Rashid Saif Al Ghafli, won the Local Purebred Camel Cup in  5th  round. 

In The Local Purebred Camel Cup “Mahboub,” owned by Mohammed Salmeen Al Ameri, won  the rifle in 5:47:97 minutes.

In the 7th round, “Makasib,” owned by Hamad Saeed Al Salmeen Al Mansouri, won the Purebred Camel Cup in  5:47:10 minutes. “Lahab,” owned by Hamdan Musaed Khaled Al Mansouri, claimed the final prize and was crowned with the “Shaddad Al Qaedan Purebred Camel Cup.”

The third edition of the Al Dhafra Festival for Purebred Arabian Camel Racing concludes tomorrow Sunday, with Al Ezaa category competitions. 

The four-day festival was organized by the Emirates Camel Racing Federation.
