The Zayed Grand Camel Racing Festival 2025 continued yesterday, Tuesday, at the Al-Wathba Camel Racing Track in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE and Chairman of the UAE Camel Racing Federation. The Al-Haqayiq category races, comprising 15 races over a distance of 4 km, witnessed fierce competition among camels from the UAE and other GCC countries vying for the top prizes in the first four open and production races.
The races featured 15 heats for the Al-Haqayiq category, covering a distance of 4 km. “Anaba,” owned by Ahmed Abdullah Baltair Al Ameri, won the Al-Abkar Cup in the main Al-Haqayiq race, completing the course in 5 minutes, 52.64 seconds.
“Al-Nayed,” owned by Hamed Nasser Ali Al Nuaimi, claimed victory in the second main race for Al-Haqayiq male camels, winning the race’s rifle and a cash prize of one million dirhams, finishing in 5 minutes, 49.00 seconds.
In the production category, “Nasayem,” owned by Rashid Ali Balrashid Al Ketbi, won the Al-Haqayiq Al-Abkar Production Cup, crossing the finish line in 5 minutes, 48.96 seconds.
“Latam,” owned by Muslim Hamad Mutab Al Ameri, claimed the final Al-Haqayiq symbol in the Zayed Grand Camel Racing Prize, winning the Al-Qadan Production Cup in the fourth main race, recording a time of 5 minutes, 50.05 seconds. The competitions continued through the fifth to fifteenth rounds amidst fierce competition among the camels. The results saw victories for “Al-Hadda” owned by Ali Obaid Bakhit Al-Rashid Al-Ketbi, “Mashwah” owned by Fahid Mohammed Al-Rizq Al-Ajami, “Al-Shaiba” owned by Hamad Salem Jaber Al-Wahibi, “Danat” owned by Mohammed Nasser Al-Dara’i, “Jarrah” owned by Ahmed Saud Salem Al-Hakmani, “Wajnah” owned by Ahmed Abdullah Bal-Tair Al-Amiri, “Taqdeer” owned by Hamad Saeed Saif Al-Dara’i, “Shabab” owned by Ahmed Suhail Butti, and “Al-Hadda” owned by Abdullah Ahmed Bal-Tair Al-Amiri.
Today, Wednesday, the Al-Laqaya age group races will be held over a distance of 5 kilometers in the southern arena. The organizing committee has allocated 30 rounds for this age group, with 26 rounds in the morning and 14 rounds in the evening. The evening session will feature four symbolic races for open, local, local production, and crossbred production camels.
