Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and with the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, the 15th edition of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Camel Racing and Beauty Festival “Al Dhaid 2025” commenced yesterday.

The opening day of the festival witnessed a large turnout of camel owners from UAE and GCC countries.

The festival continues for 7 days, featuring competitions in the categories of “Haqayiq,” “Laqaya,” “Idha’a,” “Thanaya,” “Hawl,” and “Zamoul,” as well as the Heritage Race.

“Tharwa,” owned by Hazza Mohammed Salem Al-Jadili, won the first race of the festival, the first of Al Haqayiq races, which was held over 20 rounds in the evening, it completed the 4 km race in 5.53.5 mins. In the second round , “Khawf,” owned by Mubarak Saeed Ali Al-Mansouri, took first place in a time of 5.56.5 mins. And “Wasfa,” owned by Khalfan Salem Khalfan Balari Al-Ketbi, won the third round with a time of 5.57.3 mins. “Badran,” owned by Mohammed Ali Hamad Al Fahida Al-Marri, won the 4th round in 6.0.1 mins. In the 5th round “Mut’iba,” owned by Rashid Ali Bu Manakib Al-Marri, won in a time of 5.57.8 mins. In the 6th race, “Al-Yanoud” owned by Naji Musfir Saleh Al-Rizq Al-Ajami won in 5:55:8 mins. In the 7th race, “Al-Faris” owned by Salem Hamad Rashid Al-Mukhaibi won in 5:57:11 mins , In the 8th race, “Al-Shahiniya” owned by Faraj Dhaif Allah Salem Al-Amiri won in 6:03:8 mins. In the 9th race, “Mansoura” owned by Thani bin Qatami Al-Suwaidi took the lead in 5:58:6 mins. In the 10th race, “Makhlab” owned by Salem Hamad Rashid Al-Mukhaibi won first place in time of 6:04:1 minutes.

Rounds eleven through twenty resulted in victories for “Ghazal” owned by Taher Abdullah Khalid Al-Balushi, “Musayha” owned by Abdoun Zwaid Barghash Al-Jahafi, “Shaheen” owned by Yasser Salem Mohammed Al-Duwaiki, “Al-Ghazil” owned by Dhiab Mubarak Hamid Al-Qanoubi, “Al-Asifa” owned by Abdullah Majid Ali Al-Majid, and ” “Fahad” for Saeed Mohammed Mubarak Al Khaili, “Najoud” for Zayed Salem Saeed Al Junaibi, “Adham” for Maneh Rashid Hamad Al Munajem, “Jazla” for Abdullah Majid Ali Al Majid, and “Shaheen” for Mohammed Salem Ali Al Darai.
